No system or entity is too big to fail. We should have let them fail, and bring the whole system down. It would have been a good lesson to learn from for us all. The further we push this problem into the future, the bigger the problem is going to become.
The question is, are we smart enough to move in new directions that will be healthy and serve us all? Or will we stay where we are, and become increasingly angry at a system that is failing? If we choose the latter, all we have to look forward to is, probably war and more war over resources, just like the past.
Sad, when there is plenty to meet the needs of everyone. How can we be so heartless, as to let any human being starve to death, or murder them with bullets, for their resources? What have we become? What is the meaning of life? Is it just money, or do we actually have somewhere deep within us, a "moral compass"?
"When it all comes down to dust, I will kill you if I must, I'll help you if I can. When it all comes down to dust I will help you if I must.... I'll kill you if I can" Leonard Cohen
Looks to me like it's all come down to dust....
