If only it were a joke. The truth is, the media are failing us on April 1 and every other day. So we've been workingon an exciting new project that helpsyou expose the worst moments in the media as they happen. The site isn't public yet, but it'll be live soon, and I want you to see it before we flip the switch. Did Fox really use an old interview with LL Cool J taped two years ago to promote Sarah Palin's new show? Did the Drudge Report really say that Nancy Pelosi "brings sexy back"? Isn't that local news report featuring a cardboard cutout of a bear completely ridiculous? These MediaFAILs are all featured on the new site. But MediaFAIL needs your input to be a success. And it's easy to participate -- just follow these steps: 1. Sign up at mediaFAIL. Our goal isn't just to give the media a failing grade -- we want it to pass. That's why we're connecting featured "fails" to important media reform campaigns, so we can work together to help build a better media system. So go ahead and submit a link;vote on your favorites and share the site with your friends by forwarding this e-mail or sharing your submission on Facebook and Twitter. Again, this project isn't public yet and it isn't finished, so feel free to write me at jlevy@freepress.net with questions or suggestions. Thanks! Want to learn more?
