Misogyny is defined as: "dislike of, contempt for, or ingrained prejudice against women."
A primary source of that morally wrong ingrained prejudice against women is found in the man-made Abrahamic "revealed" religions. Judaism, Christianity, Islam and Mormonism all have misogyny in all of their man-made "holy" books, which they all falsely promote as being the Word of God.
The original ungodly and nonsensical Abrahamic "revealed" religion, which the others sprang out of, is Judaism. Judaism's "holy" book, the Hebrew Bible, which all the other Abrahamic religions regard as being from God, is infected with misogyny from the start. The story in Genesis 2:20-22 of Adam needing a "help meet", which prompted God to then take a rib from Adam and make the first woman, Eve, shows women's second class position in the world.
Christianity also has deep misogyny throughout the Christian New Testament that is tied to the misogyny of Judaism and the Hebrew Bible/Old Testament. For example, 1 Corinthians 11:7 states:
"For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man."
Verse nine shows the direct connection between the ludicrous and tragically funny story in Genesis of God taking a rib from Adam and making a woman out of it. It states that the man was not created for the woman, the woman was created for the man.
Mormonism, like all of the other Abrahamic "revealed" religions, has misogyny running through it. One case where this is evident is found in the Book of Mormon, 2 Nephi 13:12 which claims God said:
"And my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they who lead thee cause thee to err and destroy the way of thy paths."
This depicts having women as leaders as being a curse.
The most brutal of all the religious misogyny from the man-made Abrahamic "revealed" religions is found in Islam. The man-made "holy" book of Islam, the Quran, claims at 4:34 that God taught:
"Men are in charge of women, because Allah hath made the one of them to excel the other, and because they spend of their property (for the support of women). So good women are the obedient, guarding in secret that which Allah hath guarded. As for those from whom ye fear rebellion, admonish them and banish them to beds apart, and scourge them. Then if they obey you, seek not a way against them. Lo! Allah is ever High, Exalted, Great."
This is an open call from the god of Islam for Muslim men to physically beat/scourge women who the men fear may become disobedient and rebellious towards the superior man. This ungodly and cruel teaching of Islam from the Quran is making the crime of domestic abuse a tenant of the religion of Islam.
The ungodly and repulsive mind-set of male superiority present and promoted by all of the man-made Abrahamic "revealed" religions has very real consequences in the 21st century. One horrific example is found in the recent case from the Islamic nation of Jordan. There, a woman named Fatima, who is a mother of three little children, was being beaten by her husband. According to the teachings of Islam, as shown above, this is commanded by God. However, her husband went further. He gouged out her eye. When he started to do the same to her other eye, she pleaded with him, "For God's sake spare my other eye, so that I can see and serve my children!" He showed no mercy, like the god of Islam and Christianity who burns nonbelievers for eternity in hell. Her husband then gouged out her other eye, making Fatima completely blind. Her husband was arrested for inflicting permanent disability, and the charge of attempted murder was eventually added. However, he was not charged with domestic violence. This is more than likely because of Islam's claim in the Quran that God commands Islamic men to beat women who they fear will be disobedient or rebellious towards them.
Deism can, if given the means, put an end to all of the religious misogyny currently harming women and the world today. This is because Deism teaches people that God gave us reason and not religion. This profoundly empowering realization eventually causes most people to break free of the ungodly man-made "revealed" religions. Without the support of the literally billions of people who currently support them, the "revealed" religions and their harmful teachings will die out and our God-given innate reason will prevail. What a beautiful world we will then have!

This is because, as Thomas Paine pointed out, "An army of principles will penetrate where an army of soldiers cannot; it will succeed where diplomatic management would fall: it is neither the Rhine, the Channel, nor the ocean that can arrest its progress: it will march on the horizon of the world, and it will conquer."
