In remembrance of the massacre of 1500 people three years ago, the entire country is on a general strike.

Beginning a few days ago numerous organizations and families of the people who were killed three years ago, announced a three day strike throughout the country.

The Iranian people in adherence to these calls conducted the largest general strike since revolution of 1979.

There was a huge price increase of gasoline three years ago accompanied with country wide demonstrations then. However, because of problems with Covid there was not a continues uprising at that time.

It is a general agreement that a complete general strike along with oil workers' strike would break the back of Islamic Republic.

Although, we were expecting a strike, it was amazing to see the first two days of general strike throughout the country already. The government has got all of their thugs on the streets. However, they are totally useless as all neighborhoods and shopping centers are empty and quite.

On the international front, it was interesting to see a video clip of President Clinton on utube. He expressed his admiration and support of Iranian people's demand for freedom, same was with the support of president Macron of France and chancellor of Germany Olaf Scholz.

The Iranian people who live outside of Iran and are estimated to be about eight million people have been conducting regular huge demonstrations in all major cities of Europe and northern America.

There have been additional sanctions on Iranian government organizations and leaders. However, we were hoping for stronger sanctions. There seems to be a reluctance to totally cut off Iranian government same as South Africa of a couple of decades ago. I imagine that the major countries are waiting to see if this new revolution will get deeper roots or not. Also, they do not want to give excuses to Iranian government to blame their misery on foreigners.

The killings of demonstrators who are mostly female teenagers and college students continues and Iranian prisons are simply full.

Government officials who were belittling the movement have run out of their obnoxious lies and gradually disappearing from the scene.
