The thought of women terminating a pregnancy, and expelling a zygote, drives some people crazy. So crazy in fact they want to own every women's body and deny them the right to control their own reproduction and family size. These same zealots also believe in a male sky god who, apparently, tells them that this "moral" tyranny is the way to go.
Well, for those unbelievers let me say once again -- Get Your Goddamn Religion Outta My State!
Yes, we know you feel for these yet-to-be proto beings, whose soul will have another chance at life -- perhaps when the very same mother is ready and willing and in better circumstances to bring a child into the world. Apparently, however, you believe that this likely yet to be ensouled "human being" that you believe arrives at conception, should have rights over the mother's at this early stage of conception. So then, a fully extant human being, the mother (and reluctant or even missing father) should be denied their rights to placate your male sky-god belief they should have no rights.
This is the way we destroy families, create single motherhood, economic dependency, and environmental disaster.
And this irresponsibility is from people who constantly tout "freedom" and "getting the government our of our lives." Well, once again, let me repeat, get your goddamn, male-driven, religion and counterproductive morality out my state! I think the Popes and Ayatollahs -- males with a weird desire to control women -- and who foster this misery are environmental criminals producing an increasingly overcrowded and ruined world for our heirs. I don't call that moral, or religious, at all.
Some thirty year ago, seeing a epidemic of young girls getting pregnant and being forced to have babies, due largely to Catholic dogma and spiritual extortion, I wrote Abortion Is Not A Sin -- a book to give ladies, young and old, some other spiritual perspectives on the matter. Aside from the death threats from a few "Christians, the book was very well received and called "the best book on the subject."
I am old enough to remember when women had to go to Mexico to end a pregnancy -- a very dismal period. Today, a Romney presidency looks to re-establish, exactly this same religious tyranny, not to mention even greater economic fascism and insane war mongering.
The true believers cannot believe or tolerate that your metaphysics, religion, and far more environmentally responsible reproductive morality, should have any freedom or impact upon public policy. No, they feel its their public, their polis, and their policy. You are to believe as they do, and even if you don't it wont matter because they will be telling you what to do with your body. This one issue alone should be driving women to the polls to ensure they don't lose their reproductive freedom, because their rights are definitely in jeopardy.
