Demonstrations In Iran

  Details   DMCA

The Iranian government is desperately trying to survive. They are doing what they do best. Which is imposing fear on the people. Intimidation is not working, blaming foreign countries does not work anymore neither. It is simply like a game of poker when everyone knows that one is bluffing.

On one hand they keep on threatening that they can come down on the people but they are not doing it because they are being nice. On the other hand their murderous behaviors continue.

The killings, bullets and arrests have lost their effect, except getting the population more and more angry. Demonstrations are becoming more frequent, larger and has metastasized to every corner of the country.

Two weeks ago they mowed down a peaceful demonstration in Zahedan the capital of the distant Sunny state of Baluchistan. Last week there was a demonstration in city of Khash in Baluchistan in which people were protesting the killing of 100 people in Zahedan the week before. Of course there was another massacre, and many people were dead and wounded .All of these killings caused the people of Zahedan to conduct their largest demonstration yesterday.

A few days ago people of the northern city of Rasht were celebrating by dancing in the main square of the city without scarfs. Finally there were tear gas and gun fires causing additional mourning and demonstrations for the dead, wounded and arrested.

About one thousand university professors signed a letter, unanimously asking the government to release the arrested students in the cramped cells and permit student peaceful demonstrations within universities.

The spokesman for the government who goes to different colleges trying to begin a dialog with the students is bowed out again and again.

On the International front: there are reports that the European Union is planning to close down their embassies in Iran and stop all incentives that they had given Iran to agree with nuclear talks (JCPOA) early next week .Such an event would have major economic and political ramifications for Iranian government.

American B52s and other planes conducted an impressive maneuver on Persian Gulf this week in response to Iran's threats of bombing Saudi oil installations with its drones.

It is difficult to predict anything in the Middle East. However, it looks like that Iranian teenagers are accomplishing the monumental task of throwing Iranian government over the cliff. While, we were not able to do that trying for 43 years.
