After the energy release of last month's Lunar Eclipse, we are hopefully free to pursue a new story, take a new path into the future, heal the ancient wounds that taught us consciousness and gave us back our freedom--the free will to choose. We get to choose our lives now. So with any new story, let's begin by saying, "Once upon a time, in the beginning times..."

Spring pulses with new life and is the season of re-birth and growth. As we stretch and loosen up from Winter's sleep, the rhythm of new life stirs in us and beats in our bones. That's Aries' energy--an impulse of desire, of creative force, of possibilities. Aries wants to manifest something new--and since it is new, remember to be gentle, nurturing and playful as it develops more form when we get to Taurus.

With this Aries New Moon dancing with Uranus and Eris, never doubt that these two tricksters will be sending us on our new adventure, waking us up to our destiny by rolling the golden apple of divine love at us and asking us to choose. Freedom or Fear. If your cry is 'Give me liberty or give me death!' then it's up to you to take up that liberty's responsibilities.

As we all know, political change has to come from the bottom up. All political changes in the world come from the people: parents, workers, women and men, people of color, people newly arrived, our young ones--we all need to demand those changes. We've all seen the cultural corruption that the Pluto transit through Capricorn has uncovered. This is part of the natural cycles of life. All cultures have to die to accommodate new social conditions if they want to remain viable.

We are witnessing the death knoll of patriarchy and we have to take this moment to do our part in creating the People's New World Order -- not the corporate new world order. We do that by honoring and keeping the true wisdom of our past while envisioning the future when our species acts as responsible co-creators of the Earth and the Cosmos. Wow! Wouldn't you like to live then? Sort of Star Trekky, but worthy of our consideration.

This is the moment to bring our spiritual awareness back into the world and help birth a truly free, healthy, just, balanced, co-created world with our Mother Earth. As a species, we've let ourselves be lulled to sleep by consumerism and as a result, we're destroying our own home. But we've been given our mission, if we will accept it. It's time to create that Earthly paradise we all know is possible. Why else are so many people becoming conscious at this moment in history? It's time for our species to evolve. It won't happen overnight, and some/most of us might not see it fully realized, but this is the defining moment for our future. We are the grandmothers and grandfathers of the future.

And happily for us, the whole cosmos is on our side! Nature will help, like She did on Avatar's Pandora. The Heavens will send us their energies to guide us in our undertakings. Our Women will once again be Wise, and our Men Brave--and visa versa. It all has to do with our beliefs--how they shape the story we want to live by.

Right now, the heavens are asking us to consider those beliefs and how we can bring them into our 3-D reality. Jupiter in Virgo opposite Neptune in Pisces=opening our imaginations and honoring what comes to us by integrating it into our daily lives. Both planets square retrograde Saturn in Sagittarius==do we have the right belief system to encompass these outer changes and inner images? If not, how do we expand our vision and encompass the most positive outcome for our future in a way that is practical and possible.

Our beliefs lie hidden in the unconscious until we turn our attention to them. These beliefs are what we learned as children--often limiting, involving guilt and shame. Once we turn the light of self-love and consciousness on them, they can transform and grow. And we can now choose what to believe in. The heavens are telling us that this is the moment when we need to embrace our beliefs and live them--not by fighting against the old but by imagining and living the new. Remember this when Mars goes retrograde next week--if we spend our energies fighting the old patterns again, we take away energy from imaging the new. Hold them in balance, ask for the truth, hear the truth and get on with it.

Later this month on April 17th, Mars will turn retrograde until June 29th . Mars in Sagittarius wants to live by his truth but Sagittarius' fire makes him adventurous, restless and a tad impatient. As Mars turns backward toward Scorpio, we will probably feel that searching quality within us. What is it we really desire? What are we here to achieve? Spend Mars retrograde testing the waters of your new life--especially by playing, experimenting and exploring.

The Sabian symbol for Mars turning retrograde at 9* Sagittarius is: A mother leads her small child step by step up a steep stairway. See! Even the Sabian symbols are telling us--take it slow, guide this new inner child toward the life you've always meant to lead.

The Aries New Moon, which is conjunct both Uranus and the asteroid Eris and square Pluto in Capricorn occurs on April 7 at 4:23am PDT/ 7:23am EDT/ 11:23am GMT.

This New Moon will be intense, for it incorporates the evolutionary and revolutionary energies of the Pluto/Uranus square that's been shaking up our world for the past 4 years. It is not only the 1 st New Moon of this astrological cycle, but also a SuperMoon, coming into a close alignment with the Earth. This is a cosmic story of deep changes occurring within our personal and collective psyches. It will be interesting to watch what develops, especially with Mars going retrograde in the coming weeks. Wherever you have Aries in your chart will light up--this is the house where everything begins for you.

The Sabian symbol for the Sun and Moon at 19* Aries is: The Magic Carpet of oriental imagery. This image speaks to using our creative imagination to rise up to a higher/deeper/wider perspective on life and travel to the place we want to be. Using the imagination now is the surest route to getting where we want to be. Meditate on the images you want to manifest. And make it so! (And notice the delightful irony of this beautiful image coming from the magical tales of Arabia, Persia and India.)

As a storyteller, I always turn to stories to shore up my beliefs and open my imagination. So to help us remember who we really are and who we can be, I'm going to share stories about what the Aries journey is all about.
