I've been sick and busy with attempting to cope with bills we don't have the money to pay like millions upon millions of my fellow Americans. With food prices soaring into the stratosphere and the recent Food Stamp cuts I have to figure out how to feed my disabled Sister and her two children. The stress of my Twin Son's Murder/Robbery Trial equates to me having very little time, nor the wits, to write and make sense of a senseless situation.
The headlines on RAW Story and here at Op-Ed News are so distressful that I'm having a hard time believing that the GOP and Corporate America are so blatant in their disregard of the Americans who are struggling from day to day, and then we hear that that it is going to get worse -- much worse. One thing I'm certain of is that I am no longer welcome in my own country, nor are the millions of disabled, those on Social Security, and the rest of the non-productive individuals that are unable to work for one reason or another. If the GOP really believed what they were saying you would think that this type of situation would never occur:

Rep. Trey Radel, the Tea Party freshman Republican from Florida, who was arrested on Oct. 29 for possession of cocaine in the District of Columbia, also voted in support of sweeping reforms to the nation's food stamp program.
Those reforms cut some $40 billion in nutrition aid over 10 years and deny benefits to millions starting in 2014.
In September The Huffington Post reported:
The bill is packed with changes to SNAP: It would require more beneficiaries to pass income and asset tests to prove their poverty. It would allow states to require drug tests. It would allow states to deny benefits to able-bodied adults who don't work or enroll in training for at least 20 hours per week.
37 year-old Radel was charged with misdemeanor possession of cocaine in D.C. Superior Court on Tuesday and is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday.
Addiction does not discriminate and can hit anyone at any age, or of any financial status. To throw poor people under the bus with the assumption that seeking a hand up, means they are on drugs, thus putting them under a microscope while doing cocaine yourself stinks of hypocrisy.
This is America. We should never demean the poor. MORE
Keep in mind that this SOB did not have a small amount of cocaine; I read where he was busted with a minimum of 2 - grams, plus he gave up his stash at home which likely made him in possession of at least an eight-ball, and that isn't something to sneeze at! If it would have been you or I, the bail, jail, and the subsequent charges to pay your probation officer and drug tests during his probation would be more than $200.00 per month. And what was the GOP's reaction to this dirt-bag Tea Bagger who deserves to be tarred and feathered for his hypocrisy?
On Tuesday Speaker John Boehner's office said the matter was "between Representative Radel, his family, and his constituents."
Our Judicial double-standard is becoming so disgusting that the GOP can get away with anything but God forbid that an "Average American" do the same thing. We all know that John Boehner and his cocaine cowboy both need a swift kick in the ar*e and thrown (literally) out of Congress before their behavior spreads to other GOP members that now know they can do drugs all the while criticizing the poor and disadvantaged because they rely upon Food Stamps to feed their families.
