The House of Representatives saved the country's bacon yesterday,
but no thanks to the liberal Democrats, many of which swallowed
the Paulson-Pelosi-Hoyer Koolaid.
Look at the votes cast by those we are used to thinking of as
Liberals. The following Democrats:
Lois Capps(CA)
Russ Carnahan(MO)
Keith Ellison(MN)
Luis Gutierrez(IL)
Nita Lowey(NY)
Jim McDermott(WA)
Jim McGovern(MA)
George Miller(CA)
Jim Moran(VA)
Jerome Nadler(NY)
Charles Rangel(NY)
John Sarbanes(MD)
Maxine Waters(CA)
Robert Wexler(FL)
all voted for the bailout. Even our boy Barack has endorsed it.
What is wrong with these people? We all need to get to them.
For the Paulson people have vowed to try again.
Pretty much all the arguments have been made. One seems to me
to be one that might reach some of the above; indeed it should
reach anyone whose thought is not absolutely paralyzed. It is
this: even Mr Paulson doesn't guarantee that his plan will
work. So we throw the cost of an Iraq war at Wall Street, and
"confidence" is not restored. What then?
Have we all heard about putting all our eggs into one basket?
WHAT IS PLAN B?
