Peter G Cohen, artist and activist, is a veteran of W.W. II, a father and grandfather. For 57 years he painted mostly figurative paintings of people working, warring, psychological studies and, finally, a series on fertilization within the ovum. During the Vietnam war he headed a local peace group and then ran for Congress as an independent peace candidate, 1968. In 1969-'70 he was Exec. Dir. of the New Democratic Coalition of PA. During this period he developed the idea that political organizing is far more effective than demonstrations or petitions.
