Yesterday, Tony Judt, the British historian, published a very important op-ed in the New York Times about the settlements. Today Ha'aretz reports that the Israeli government Israel has just authorized the building of 300 new homes in the West Bank! What will it take to get Israel to stop the expansion of settlements? Is it only the threat of a cut in aid or an actual aid cut that will convince the Israeli government...?
