I am 63 yo veteran of the Stonewall Riots in June, 1969 in NYC. I have been an activist for equality since I came out publicly as Queer in 1965 at the age of 18. I am a concert harpsichordist and teacher, and a Spiritual Director in private practice here in Chicago where I live. My practice is for Gaymen. I have been HIV+ since the early 1980's and was diagnosed with AIDS in 1995. I am currently making a film focused on the stories of Queermen over the age of 55 all of whom are either HIV+ or have AIDS. The documentary will be shown at film festivals and at college and universities across the country. This is an important project. The blackness of the genocide against Gaymen in the 1980's and 1990's must be told and brought to light. It has been kept secret far too long. Our holocaust cost us an entire generation of Queermen whose lives need to be remembered in the stories of those of us who have survived into the 21st century. Please feel free to contact me about the film with any questions and/or donations you might have to help get this film made. We have a professional film crew, experienced in documentary film making, and we are very excited about the project. I look forward to hearing from any of you that might be interested in learning more about the film.
