California can comply with order to release prisoners by reforming mental health system California is under court order to release 33,000 prisoners. Governor Brown can do this by returning treatment of mentally ill prisoners to an improved mental health system that uses Laura's Law, civil commitment, and Prop 63 (Mental Health Services Act) funding.

Stop FDA from voting to make mental illness treatment more difficult Electroconvulsive Therapy (a/k/a "Shock Treatment" has been used effectively in patient's with certain mental illnesses for years. The FDA is considering whether to reclassify it and make it harder to access. This could be dangerous for the elderly and pregnant women, since ECT is often the only treatment available to them.
