All too often human nature is co-opted to force people to work against their self interest. False ideology is the tool of those with the audacity and the greed to bend other men to their will. I see tragedy in people who are duped into hating the very people trying to help them. Fundamentalism is truly the scourge of politics, giving up everything for one ideal, who's real value is usually nothing. You are left at the mercy of charlatans who play up the unyielding ideal while quietly working against you everywhere else. I speak not of paranoia but of vigilance and a reasonable incredulity.
Also, I like cats and jazz.
