I am a passionate believer in fairness for all. I was a teenager in the 1960's, so I suppose my activist days started back then. I've been on disability for almost 4 years with Parkinson's Disease. I've used this time to get involved in progressive politics and get involved in social media. I'm on Twitter as jeter626. My wish is for single payer healthcare, or Medicare for All. I want to see the minimum wage raised so it is a livable wage.I want to know what happened to making it attractive for kids to join the Peace Corps after high school. Our public education is sorely lacking because it's under funded and any progress is pushed back by Americans for Prosperity, which is an oxymoron. The only Americans the Koch Brothers want to prosper is themselves. As a single parent, I could not afford to send my daughter to college; so of course I want to see education after high school affordable for everyone.I'm concerned about income inequality, the quality of our food, and the preservation of our planet. I believe in the right to vote for every citizen and making it as easy as possible for people to vote during elections. We need to work together to make our government by the people, for the people, and not owned by the corporations and Wall Street.
