Anonymous had no impact on the presidential election On November 12th, the website VelvetRevolution.us, posted a letter, which they claimed to "accept at face value" from "The Protectors". This letter claimed that a shadowy hacker group had clandestinely defeated Karl Rove's latest vote rigging machinations. The "Protectors" were conflated with Anonymous and a myth was born.
