I'm an American, and interested in helping to end the many wars we are engaged in. The wars are both bankrupting our society, as well as preventing other societies from getting off the ground. So that's one count of self-interest in stopping them, plus one count of morality.

But the morality also has some self-interest: if these other countries that we are bombing into oblivion are instead permitted to grow and develop, then we or our descendants will benefit from what they learn.

That's where i stand politically.

As to me personally, i'm interested in software and science, and living a good, healthy life in harmony with my family, my country, and the world we share.
