I am retired. I grew up on a mixed farm in central Saskatchewan, finished high school, joined the RCMP and left them when I realized I'd made a career choice incompatible with my attitude to the lack of justice in Canada's legal system. From there I went to the best paying jobs as they were offered to me, those being carpenter, lumberjack, oilfield worker and gas plant operator until my wife insisted we move to Saskatoon. There I worked in private security for a few years before I joined the U of S Security Department for a bit over 3 years before becoming a power engineer at the U of S Heating Plant, where I received numerous qualifications in the field and eventually served for several years as a Shift Engineer with a Second Class certification.
I retired in 2007 and am currently working with a company called Omega-3 Fisheries, which is on course to change the way fish is produced and with it, to becoming one of the keys to solving the world's predicted food shortage.
