Dr. Jonathan Allen is an applied physicist now living in Central New Jersey. He received his Ph.D. from Washington U. in 1977 and has spent most of his career in environmental research and especially solar photovoltaic R&D. Much of this work has been in the development of radio frequency (RF)systems for the manufacture of solar modules. He now works mostly as a consultant to such industries.

He is also active in Democratic and liberal political causes. Hobbies include photography and woodworking.
