War Funding Round Two!
SHARE For a second time, Congress is arguing over a supplemental funding bill for the G.W. Bush War in Iraq. As you all know by now, Congress set a new course for the war in Iraq. It provided a way forward for the Iraqi people, and laid a path to bring our Troops home. Sure it had riders on it to provide funding for some of the pressing problems faced in this country.

Is Gore the modern Jefferson?
SHARE I saw "The Inconvenient Truth" and then read several hatchet articles by right wingers that attempted to refute it, they failed to do so. One even went to far as to say that Gore was trying to be a biblical prophet since he was predicting vast worldwide flooding if the present trend isn't reversed. Utter nonsense.

SHARE I am sick of the Republican spin masters such Sen. Lindsey Graham, a South Carolina Republican, who declared "The reason we are here on Saturday playing stupid political games ... is because our colleagues on the other side of the aisle are afraid to take a vote on cutting off funding."

Reverse The Course
SHARE Well the big protest is over, estimates vary around the country, AP said tens of thousands, march organizers claim 400,000 in Washington alone. More conservative pundits say about 100,000 antiwar protesters from around the country converged Saturday on the National Mall, galvanized by opposition to President Bush's plan to increase the number of troops in Iraq. What ever the total was at least people from various organizations stood together against the Bush Machine and his private war, it is unusual to see many of the organizations represented here working towards anything but their own personal agendas.
