[[MicahWhite]]Micah White, founder of Occupy Movement, gives advice on how people can regain political power. Micah moved to the small town of Neskowin, Oregon and ran unsuccessively for mayor. Moving to rural areas and take political control seems to be his suggestion. Easier said than done. At least, Micah says, Trump shows how a political outsider can win.

[[Rick]]Rick Bartow, Wiyot Native American, Vietnam Veteran, and incredible artist and musician, has passed away in his home of Newport, Oregon. Bartow's monumental cedar sculptures "We Were Always Here" were commissioned by the Smithsonian's National Museum of the American Indian, and sit on the Northwest corner of the museum overlooking the National Mall. Smithsonian SculptureI knew Rick as a friend; in 1986, Bartow designed a sign for a Coffee House for me. In the developing website Rick Bartow you can see some of his early sketches.
