The Economic Consequences of Project 1981 is depicted by the
linked graphic. It led to the suspension of the fairness doctrine, contributing to
today’s partisan polarization and Reagan endorsement of candidates’ pledge to
oppose tax increases which has put the U.S. Government on a path to bankrupt.
Trump 45, as a system destroyer, abandoned Obama’s pandemic plan,
resulting in 400,000 Covid Deaths on Trump’s watch.
The linked article closes with: In the United States, the assault
on democracy is Project 2025. But this assault is not a fait accompli. By
incorporating a smart, aggressive critique of the Trumpian Mandate in all of
their campaigning in 2024—thus ensuring that voters know the fate of democracy
really is at stake—Trump’s foes can and must prevent this right-wing fever
dream from becoming an American nightmare.”

The linked article mentions the Heritage Foundation’s dismal
track record when it has weighed in on past environmental issues, its dismal
track record dates back to Tobacco Health Risk Denialism and is ongoing, today

Concisely, Denialism. is a cancer, injected into America’s
political discord, since the formation of the likes of the Heritage Foundation
in February 1973, in accordance with, Powell Memo (1971}: Blueprint for corporate
domination of American Democracy.
The Heritage Foundation published a previous 1,100-page"Mandate

Per linked article: Since their campaign account was
registered with the Federal Election Commission in the name of both candidates,
Harris could use those funds for her own presidential effort if Biden were to
drop out, according to Kenneth Gross, senior political law counsel at Akin Gump
and former associate general counsel for the Federal Election Commission.
If the reverse
were the case, Biden took the Vice-Presidential nominee position it should
follow that any candidate, including but not limited to Harris could be the Presidential
nominee.
With the possibility
of post-general election turmoil, a Democratic ticket with Biden as Vice-Presidential
nominee, would have the apparel of the Most-seamless transition!
In addition, Biden
as Vice-Presidential, would provide the U.S. with an administration with the strongest
Vice-Presidential in our history.

Transparency, via mandatory disclosure of large donations to Think Tanks, is how to hold the likes of Harlan Crow (Clarence Thomas’ Billionaire) accountable!
The linked article notes that Crow a is funder of conservative politics who sits on the boards of conservative think tanks and political organizations. Among Think Tanks’ main risks is reputational risks, which affects their credibility and ability to engage with other actors.
On 3/4/2022, Historian Heather Cox Richardson wrote in her daily newsletter “In the past, just when it seemed we were approaching the end of democracy and replacing it with oligarchy…the American people turned to leaders who helped them reclaim democracy.” Our Leaders that responded, worked to reflect the increasingly loud voices of the majority of the American people. Will President Biden, respond in the fashion of Lincoln and both Roosevelts?
Wednesday, November 30, 2022 Why Voting for Herschel Walker will be Inflationary, with no increase in the Minimum Wage as a Remedy!SHARE
Without a doubt Herschel Walker will yield to GOP peer pressure
to continue inflationary tax cuts, while blocking any minimum wage increase, unchanged
for 13 years.
Higher corporate profits
reportedly account for more than half of today’s price increases. This is no
surprise, since Trump’s 2017 tax cuts incentivize the maximization of profits. The 40 percent drop in tax rates, from 35 percent to 21 percent,
corporations had a much greater incentive to price-gouge.
The cut in corporate tax rates also incentivized
corporations to buy back their stock, pushing share prices higher. This put
billions of dollars of discretionary spending power in the hands of
stockholders, driving prices higher for consumers than they would have
otherwise.
Republicans have laid out no credible plan now
to bring down inflation and no intention to raise the minimum wage.
Saturday, November 5, 2022 Voters: There are Inflation Causes Stemming the Republican's 2017 Tax Cut & Jobs ActSHARE
The linked opinion mentions a Democrats’ closing argument to
voters, which I agree with!
I suggest the Democrats go on the offensive by highlighting
some of the 2022 Inflation Causes Stemming Trumps 2017 Tax Cut & Jobs Act.
Corporate tax cuts are intended to incentivize the
maximization of profits. With this 40 % drop in tax rates, corporations had a
much greater incentive to price gouge exiting the pandemic than if were 35%
instead of 21%
The cut in corporate tax rates, also incentivize corporation
to buy back their own stock, pushing share prices higher. This put billions of
dollars of discretionary spending power in the hands of stock-holding
consumers, driving prices higher for all consumers than they would have
otherwise been without these corporate tax cut.

The linked piece relates to the final step is to
publish the ERA as the 28th Amendment to our Constitution, which was passed by
Congress and ratified by 38 states. Since amending the U.S. has been so rare
over the last 5 decades, few can argue that it is the ultimate in Democracy
and our representative form of government.
Please draw
you attention to the ERA action points and act as you see fit, especially
bringing SJ Res 1 to the floor for a vote, ideally prior to the start of early
voting in September! S.J.Res.1 has been sponsored/cosponsored
by all Democratic/Independent Senators,
including Senators Manchin and Sinema, as well as GOP Senators Collins and Murkowski; for a total of 51 Senators. With
this co-sponsorship in The Senate, S.J.Res.1 should fare better than the Women’s
Health Protection Act, codifying roe v wade.

The linked article relates to U.S. House bipartisan joint resolution

The related S.J.Res.1 has been cosponsored by almost all
Democratic/Independent Senators, including Senators Manchin and Sinema, as well as GOP Senators Collins and Murkowski; for a total of 51 Senators.
With fifty-one votes, the filibuster can be suspended with a
limited carve-out for legislation mitigating a SCOTUS ruling, where a majority
vote was reached by some justices confirmed with a filibuster carve-out. What
is good for the goose should be good for the gander.
Worse case, cosponsoring Senators will refuse to a filibuster
carve-out; but the damage will be done to the GOP Senators up for reelection in
2022 and 2024, that vote Ney!
(1 comments) Monday, February 14, 2022 Benjamin Franklin's Wisdom as it Applies to TrumpSHARE
Political conservatives have emphasized an identification
with the Founding Fathers, so let’s put that to the test regarding Trump. In
Poor Richard's Almanack, Benjamin Franklin wrote this in the 18th century: “The
rotten apple spoils his companion.” When you allow a rotten apple in your
life, you are accepting their behavior. It's not on them.
The Fuehrer's biggest lie is that Germany was not beaten in
1918. Hitler used this lie to rise to power. This theme is similar to Trump’s,
that the 2020 Election was stolen. Even without the Presidency, Trump proves on
a daily basis that he is the “GOP Puppet Master”. The linked article is a
recent example, stating: “Most Republican senators either refused to condemn
the RNC’s “legitimate political discourse” resolution or criticized it
only as ineffective politics.” Trump can continue his influence, even from prison.
(1 comments) Friday, March 26, 2021 Scapegoat Mitch McConnell: Suspend the Senate Filibuster Until the GOP lose their SCOTUS Seat AdvantageSHARE
The author of the linked article politely refers to Mitch
McConnell’s style as “calculated audacity” and seems confident that McConnell’s
Achievement of a conservative Supreme Court will be the legacy that will
outlive him.
This assumes that the Democrats do not engage in the “audacity
of consequences” by righting wrongs. One way to do this, is to suspend the filibuster
until the Democrats gain a SCOTUS Seat advantage, commensurate to the seats
stolen by the Trump/McConnell partnership. A GOP stolen seat gives them an advantage of 1
seat, which is equalized by the Dems gaining one: only when the Dems Gain 2
seats are, they compensated. Counting foreign influence enabling 45 to win in
2016, three SCOTUS seats were stolen. Give Mitch’s 2021 unfavorable rating of
64%, the 2022 Senatorial races can become a referendum on the SCOTUS Seats.
(2 comments) Tuesday, March 16, 2021 Connecting-the-Dots between Michigan Integrity F Grade & Its Shortest/Harshest Term-Limits, among strictest in AmericaSHARE
Michigan, a lobbyist paradise: three two-year terms for representatives, and two four-year terms for
senators. The article on Michigan’s honor system with no honor refers to
lobbying or lobbyists ten times. Term limits would primarily help lobbyists, as
the politicians do not have enough experience to know what they are doing while
the lobbyists will be showing them the ropes, while paying them to also pull
them.
Lobbying firms do not reveal which issues and legislation they advocated
for or against. Michigan's money-driven politics serve as a key reason why the
state ranks last among the 50 states with
a grade of F and a numerical score of 51 out of 100 from the State Integrity
Investigation. It received an F in 10 of the 13 categories of government operations that were examined. Its
political system has been referred to as
"the Wild West ... with no sheriff in town."
(1 comments) Thursday, March 11, 2021 100% GOP Senate Nay ARPA Votes Proves Merits of Term Limits are another GOP Big Lie at Worse, a Flawed Opinion at BestSHARE
A growing list of GOP establishment politicians no longer
recognize the party they represent and have decided to walk away rather than
face the peril of losing at the hands of a base that views them as
insufficiently loyal to the cause. Five have imposed upon themselves term
limits, by choosing not to run for reelection in 2022.
One hinted at the frustrations born of being in a party
where compromise is a bad word, in spite, of this frustration, being considered
insufficiently loyal and having no fear of voters; all five voted with their
party and against the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). Term limit avocats current lack data that term
limits will result in compromise or anything that resemble a partisan gridlock break
through, based on the ARPA Senate vote. Term limit advocacy has been primarily
championed by the GOP, likely to gain yet another advantage.
(1 comments) Thursday, March 4, 2021 Critical Thinking Citizens - GOP's Voter Suppression Legislation is to Avoid Accountability for its Tarnished BrandSHARE
In his speech Sunday at the Conservative Political Action
Conference, Trump once again implied that he had won the last election and that
elections in America need urgent reform.
The GOP was held accountable in the 2020 Election with loses
of the Senate and Executive branch. To avoid similar accountability in future
elections numerous Republican-controlled state legislatures are looking to pass
measures that will effectively make it more difficult for people to vote.
According to an analysis from the Brennan Center for Justice,
there are four times as many bills to restrict voting across the 50 state
legislatures as there were a year ago. And there is little at the federal level
to impede these efforts.
The Supreme Court — now with six Republican-appointed
justices — is hearing another voting rights case this week that could further
diminish the Voting Rights Act.

In 1969, The SCOTUS "ruled unanimously that the
Fairness Doctrine was not only constitutional but essential to democracy. The
public airwaves should not just express the opinions of those who can pay for airtime;
they must allow the electorate to be informed about all sides of controversial
issues."
Congress attempted to codify the Fairness
Doctrine, with a House Yea-Nay Vote of 302 – 102 and a Senate Yea-Nay Vote of 59-31,
but the legislation was vetoed by President Reagan.
The doctrine did not require equal time for opposing views but
required that contrasting viewpoints be presented. Stations were given wide
latitude as to how to provide contrasting views: It could be done through news segments,
public affairs shows, or editorials. Reagan veto of Fairness in Broadcasting Act of
1987 counters a unanimous SCOTUS Ruling and the overwhelming will of the
Congress.

GOP donors gave $95 million to Senate super-PACs and party
committee between Election Day and Nov. 23, over four times as much as the $18
million Democrats gave similar groups.
The aim of this over 400% advantage is to perpetuate the
super-rich low tax rate achieved in the following graphic:
In 2018, offshore tax dodges, like those facilitated by Loeffler, cost
states $14.2 billion (Georgia $290 million) and the federal government $97.8 in
lost tax revenue for a total of $112 billion or $1.120 trillion over 10 years.
This has led to the reduction in the share of Uncle Sam’s revenue for corporate
income tax as achieved in the following graphic:
In 2019 as a result of the TCJA of 2017 the S&P 500 companies paid
an effective tax rate of 8.7% versus the 21% statutory rate of 21%, An almost
60% discount multi-nationals’ get versus our domestic companies and individual
taxpayers.

$97.8 in lost tax revenue for a total of $112 billion or $1.120 trillion over

Reporting systems, enabling domestic corporate tax avoidance, which cost those

(1 comments) Wednesday, November 11, 2020 How Reagan's Unpatriotic Tax Avoidance Gift to Corporations Worldwide is Enforced by Grover Norquist's Anti-tax PledgeSHARE
On September 2, 1983, Margaret Thatcher
wrote President Reagan asking him to support a ban the use of the Unitary Tax
Method by the states. As a result of Reagan favorable response to this request,
the link document estimates that $17.04 billion of tax revenue was lost by all
states in 2018.
Even though Grover Norquist’s Anti-tax Pledge is
titled Taxpayer Protection Pledge, its enforcement against
our states using the Unitary Tax Method, protects non-taxpayer to
the detriment voting taxpayer in every state and the lion's share of their
employers. With the fiscal
strains of Covid-19 as a backdrop, isn’t it long overdue for state officeholders
to actually protect voting taxpayers; instead of perpetuating a tax haven loophole,
which makes our domestic businesses and their employees less competitive, in a
global economy.
