Proof Postitive that you are far, far more important than you currently are led to believe...
So many activists I know these days seem to believe what those who play the psy ops games with our minds in the mainstream media want us to believe... namely, that no matter how hard we work, we don't make a bit of difference, that our work is all in vain, that political leaders [sic] are no longer listening to the people.
This is not only defeatist thinking - but it is actually wrong. You and I are far, far more powerful than those running the show want you and I to believe. Particularly with regard to local and state matters, we have far more power, clout, and effective strength than they would have us believe.
I have been collecting stories of such activism and wrote about one here in Depleted Uranium Saves Washington!
In the exquisitely uttered words of Marianne Williamson,
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
Now remember, there is a great deal of work to do and no one else but you and me to do it. Never for a moment allow yourself to believe that you can't do something of signifigance to help humanity.
Because the truth of the matter is? You both can and do.
