DMCA | I really couldn't believe it when, as part of a copyright-infringement case, it was announced that a recent song called "Blurred Lines" earned, just the songwriters mind you, $16.67 million. Although the song hit #1 on the pop charts, I had never even heard of it before. One can can only imagine how much something like Taylor Swift's "Blank Space" earned her, which seems to get almost non-stop play, and whose video has gotten over 600 million views. Being from another music generation altogether, I have to wonder what it all means.... |
