Kim Davis, the Rowan County, Kentucky, clerk who has gained national attention for her staunch refusal to issue same-sex marriage licenses due to her religious beliefs, has been married four times. Court records obtained by US News and World Report show Davis divorced three times, first in 1994 and then again in 2006 and in 2008. She gave birth to twins who were fathered by her third husband five months after divorcing her first husband. Those twins were adopted by her second husband, according to US News.
