On Monday, the former US president - whose policies inspired millions of Americans to vote Democrat in the 2008 election- will headline at a popular Get Motivated program, appearing at a seminar about, among other things, "How to master the art of effective leadership".
Mr Bush's wars in Afghanistan and Iraq provoked
widespread criticism, and his steering of the US economy drew censure.
But he is likely to be paid around $100,000 (61,000) for a 40-minute
speech on his experiences as leader of the free world - so he may yet

This
major motivational event will also feature such speakers as Zig Zigler,
Terry Bradshaw, General Colin Powell, Rudy Giuliani, and even
ex-President GW Bush's wife, Laura Bush. The motivational speech by
Laura Bush should bring in some more hundreds of thousands of dollars.
This should be some fantastic leadership event.
GW will hopefully extoll the virtues of running wars on bible quotes. Perhaps the former "Compassionate Conservative" can expound on torture as an effective leadership tool. He will likely tell of his effective leadership during the collapse of the American economy.
Bush
will probably inform the audience that an effective leader needs to
delegate. He can offer a great example of how he turned the American
economy over to the Federal Reserve (a private corporation) during the
collapse. He can also tell of his record as the President that took the most vacation time of any President.
Bush can also bring the audience to tears when he tells about how a leader has to make sacrifices. He can recount the time he gave up golf as a tribute to the dying and wounded troops during war time. He will probably forget to mention that for the most part he didn't attend any soldier's funerals.
Bush can speak about how important collaboration is to leadership. He can recount how he took off to a bunker and collaberated the government over to Dick Cheney when America was attacked on 9/11.
Bush
will likely have a lot to say on effective leadership. He will probably
make numerous gaffes and Bushisms while speaking though.
Maybe he can repeat some of these Bushisms to entertain his simple minded audience.

Bush always enjoyed telling a good joke. Perhaps he can retell the joke about how he and his Administration looked all over for those Weapons of Mass Destruction. Like under his bed, in his refrigerator, and all around the White House. "Those weapons of mass destruction have got to be somewhere!" he said.
