The November 2006 elections were already far behind us. The Democratic Party's re-taking of congress never happened. The pollsters' predicted wins by democratic candidates throughout the U.S. never happened. HAVA-required electronic, no-paper-ballot, recordless voting happened. And there were Republican "upsets" at all levels of government in the November 2006.
One thing all the 2008 Republican presidential candidates in my dream had in common was connection to vote theft and vote technology companies. I'm not sure about Hagel or Bush. But Blackwell and Harris are well documented. They shouldn't be running for governor and senator. They should be running for their lives, looking over their shoulders, afraid that some patriotic nut who believes in Democracy and honest elections might take justice into his or her hands. In my dream-- a fantasy I certainly wouldn't countenance, suggest or encourage-- a person with terminal cancer goes after them.
That's just a dream. These criminals should be facing real justice. But I kind of like the idea of Harris and Blackwell losing sleep, worrying about being in danger. I like the thought that maybe they have to pay for extra security guards, that they look over their shoulders more than they need to, because they're worried someone might be after them.
In my dream, the 2008 Republican primary is very hot. The question is, will Jeb's newly appointed Florida Secretary of state be able to fine tune the voter eligibility rolls of the Republicans so he can ace out Katherine "2006 kingmaker" Harris.
Ken Blackwell is a shoe in for Ohio and the Midwest, in Diebold territory. Hagel has Nebraska, Texas and the states where ES & S, the vote technology company in which Hagel had been a major shareholder in, (which he failed to disclose when he won his senate election) provided the election "delivery" technology.
In my dream, there was an organization called Black November-- not because November is the month when, in 2000, 2002, 2004 and 2006, elections were blatantly stolen, but because Black September, as the name of a terrorist organization, was already taken. My dream had a band of "terrorists" who were assassinating secretaries of state who had murdered democracy by corrupting and stealing elections.
There were no murders when the dream woke me up. Well, no murders of secretaries of state. After almost eight years of election thefts, democracy in America was, at best, in a comatose state. As I was waking from my dream, I wondered how, in Iraq, Mujaheddin could be sacrificing their lives to fight for freedom for their sects-- Sunni, Shi'a and Kurd.
Still a bit sleepy, I picked up a new book I'd just picked up, Karen Armstrong's A Brief History of Myth. It posits that people do things to experience the transcendent, to reconnect with and get back to the "mythic" Garden of Eden, which just about every myth describes in one way or another.
I think about the Islamic suicide bombers, considered martyrs by their culture, how they live the last weeks or months of their lives with their heads filled with anticipation of heavenly reward. I think about how a segment of our American, born-again fundamentalists, who send innocent inner city kids off to war to die for them, while envisioning an apocalyptic reward for their hewing to their faith, which ends in the rapture, with all the good believers being plucked into heaven by god, who leaves all the people who don't believe like they do suffering on earth.
And I wonder where the American mujaheddin are, that these hypocritical born agains who support criminals who steal elections, who tax the poor and give to the rich are such a pathetic counterpart to the paradise seekers in the Islamic lands. (I also always remember that not all born-agains are right wing extremists. Some are principled, fair, walking much closer in the footsteps of Jesus. But my dream, which woke me before six AM, leaves me with the words "Black November" ringing in my head. Is it a group that revenges the offenses of the criminal secretaries of state? Or is it a term which describes how those dark Novembers of 2000, 2002, 2004 and 2006 will be remembered?
I Google black November. The 1918 influenza epidemic in New Zealand is called Black November. There are 34,600 pages found on Google for Black November.
I find a 1989 book titled Red November, Black November. It's about the IWW Labor group. It's ironic. Our black Novembers have certainly also been red Novembers, since the Republicans have "won" the crooked, rigged elections, sometimes even before the vote started, by rigging the voting rolls.
My dream wakes me up. I get out of bed. I start writing.
I'm awake now. It's April 2006. November is a long way off. I find myself thinking about how likely it is that two of the worst criminals in the history of Democracy, Ken Blackwell and Katherine Harris, instead of being executed as traitors to democracy and arch criminals who betrayed the most sacred principles the USA stands for, will very likely win the elections they are not only running in, but through direct and indirect means, corrupting and controlling. I am disgusted that Mike DeWine, one of the primary perpetrators of the HAVA (Help America Vote Act) laws, which, now, can clearly be seen as a tool for systematic theft of elections throughout the US, will also probably use this diabolical tool to steal his re-election.
I am not a violent person. I don't advocate any violent action. But I wonder how, in Iraq, people who support the US occupation government are killed in huge numbers, and yet, how here in the US, two disgusting traitors against democracy walk free, feeling safe and secure. I repeat. I do not advocate illegal actions of any kind, and never have... in my life. But these criminals-- Harris and Blackwell should be waking up in the middle of the night, worried that if they are not successful in stealing another election, they will be brought to trial. They should be looking over their shoulders, worried that...
this section of the article was removed after I got a call from a special agent of the capitol police regarding the verbiage that had been here. Appearently the agent was contacted by Katherine Harris's office. I have written about this conversation at length, here. The short story is that the words I used have been pulled because I don't want to encourage anyone who is mentally unstable or stupid to actually act on my imaginary story. My goal was to vividly describe the idea. Apparently, my message reached congresswoman Harris's office.....getting ready to rectify the injustice they perpetrated. I just want them to worry about it.
