I am not republican either. I voted for Kerry in 2004, and could not imagine that any American after all what we have been through in the first term can vote differently, but I was wrong!
I am an American, I work hard, I raise a family, I pay taxes, I get old and expect to retire, and I get sick and hate it when it happens. Therefore, I can care less about who is setting in 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, as long as his influence on my life my children future and their chances of a better tomorrow is positive, and in the process he is making my country better, stronger and fairer place.
Although beating a dead horse is a national sport, I will not talk today about a fifty two years old seducing a sixteen years old, I will not talk about a house speaker that is a father but his loyalty to the chair overcome his duties as a parent. I will not talk about the hundreds of young and poor Americans bleed to death on a foreign land for no apparent reason or for too many reasons that change according to the poll of the day. I will not talk about any of that because I am almost sick to my stomach.
This year as you take over the congress, your challenges will be tremendous and you have to live up to the challenge. It is easy to win as the lesser of two evils but this time it should not be about winning, it is about our country where we started and where we become!
The day after should not be about how to own the White House in 2008, but how to make our lives better in 2006 and beyond, only then you will win the presidential election.
The polls tell us that Iraq, followed by war on terror and then economy are the most pressing issues on our minds. A quick look at the Democratic Party web site provides a six-point plan that does not address the top issues on voters mind.

Say again, why should I elect you?
The first agenda item is "Honest Leadership & Open Government"
I like it; it is so sexy in days like these. Yes, we are all tired of corruption, of government that will lie, and if it cannot find something to lie about it will make up one.
But, the government should be honest and open. This is a given, and when a government is not then we should fire it as we are doing on November, 7. The second problem is in a government controlled by democrats we will still find corruption. It might take us few years though!
Did we forget the Republican contact with America?
"To restore accountability to Congress. To end its cycle of scandal and disgrace. To make us all proud again of the way free people govern themselves". This is a quote from the Republican party contract with America!
The Republican Party came to power in 1994 to restore accountability and this is what we got!

So dear Democratic Party leaders, do not have this pathatic slogan as your top agenda item!
