The North Koreans fired their Taepodong II missile which the US quickly dismissed as a failure without specifying HOW, causing any rational person to wonder, what constitutes failure in the "mind" of the Bush Regime.
Apparently the USs sorry excuse for "missile defense" was put on alert as well for the comic relief of many.
In fact all this system includes is radars to watch them inbound, and interceptor missiles with a high failure rate despite the fact that during the US test of this system, the "rogue" missiles were fitted with homing devices.
That the missile fell into the sea sounds like a proper end to a missile test flight. The pictures MSNBC showed of these missiles very much resembled US HAWK (Homing All Weather Killer) missiles which are no longer in the US inventory.
One of the other news outlets referred to the Taepodong I missiles as "scud" type missiles. The originally Soviet built missile that the US Patriot was made infamous by blowing away the airframe only and leaving the warhead to fall wherever gravity took it, including Iraqi homes.
The US threats and warnings seem to have less and less effect on the so called "evil doers." Perhaps George and company have let their mouths write too many checks their canary asses can't cash.
In fact, Bush has no more trump cards. The world knows this, and is giving ole George the middle finger.
Condi Rice who didn't realize she was being listened to by reporters whilst she basically received "the bird" from the Russians during high level talks.
So many untoward situations have arisen since George came to Washington that even someone with some REAL intellectual prowess would find sweat beads on their foreheads trying to cope with all the Bush wreckage.
Sort of makes one wonder who in hell would WANT the job of POTUS in 2008!
It's a sad day when anything and everything stated or touted by the Bush regime must be assumed to be a lie until proven otherwise.
In truth, we don't know what happened with the North Korean missiles except that they were launched despite the Bush Regime's empty threats.
We don't really know what happened in the New York Subway except that an alleged attempt at the use of poison gas was allegedly foiled by alleged police and Federal Law enforcement agents. Allegedly.
Notice we don't hear much about "color codes" anymore either.
Why, do we really know if Ken Lay is dead? That's how bad this "boy who cried wolf too often" scenario has taken this nation.
