A proposal for the notion that US Corporations and their government puppets are grooming American workers to eventually replace Chinese as their cheap labor pool in order to serve the future and much larger Chinese and Indian middle class consumers.

Comcast is testing the FCC. If it gets away with manipulating one source of competition, movies, how much longer will your VoIP phone ring before Comcast blocks Vonage, Nextiva, Magic Jack and so on?
If FCC permits this then maga-ISPS will create a monopoly over everything you want to watch, elimiate choices on who's phone service you want and perhaps wind up charging your for every email you send.

Big business does not spend money unless they expect to get something in return. They don't spend money to elect people to congress who will not do their bidding. Who do they spend their cash to support? Why those people?

We have condoned the deaths of over half a million citizens each year due to tobacco and its drug component nicotine. We consider tobacco and alcohol to he public health issues even as they devastate far more people both directly and indirectly than the use of prohibited drugs.

The very basis of our democracy may have been dealt a death blow by the US Supreme Court. Citizens have a right to expect fair and honest elections but the recent "Citizens United" decision has thrown a monkey wrench into our political process. By creating a loop hole for foreign interest to invest in election propaganda, the voice of the people will be severely diluted to the point of silence.

No one seems to love a good conspiracy more than Glenn Beck. In order to have a clear view of any conspiracy you need to have a vantage point outside of that very conspiracy which is why I think Beck is missing the grandest of them all...he has wittingly or unwittingly become an integral part of this one.

Voters need to pay attention and recognize which party has been blocking progress in the hopes of stalling recovery to assure their political resurrection. Those politicians want people like you and me to blame the wrong people for causing this economic mess while they hide behind a disgusting smoke screen of hate, racism, fear and bigotry and out right lies.

Bigotry is fast becoming a major tool of the conservative movement because religious conservatives seem to all agree that God makes mistakes and that it is up to them to sort them out and segregate them from other "good" Christians. To me this is not a very Christian attitude toward a fellow human and fellow American. But again, it is a great political tool used to divide us.

Democrats are and have consistently been better at managing our economy for the betterment of the average American. Why do voters continue to buy the lie from the right who have always mangled our economy?

Something frighting is happening all too often in Congress...the institutionalization of hate directed toward specific groups of people. Hate based legislation is unconstitutional and members of Congress are required to take an oath to uphold our Constitution.

States are looking for ways to collect sales tax for purchases made by their citizens. With 14,000 different tax jurisdictions in the US, compliance by small on line business could prove impossible, leading to their demise. Federal laws must be written to protect the mom & pop internet business from extinction.

We used to hope we could count on our laws to protect us by providing appropriate sanctions to deter them from harming us. We count on our lawmakers to be wiser than the masses when they author legislation to protect the public. Sex offender registration laws cause more violence than they prevent.
