John McCain Does Not Care If You Die

Message Bruce Morris

John McCain does not care if you die.

This is the painful truth. I am tired of seeing it ignored, danced around, intellectualized and politicized.

John McCain does not care if you die. (This, remember, is a once noble man; now thoroughly sold out). Of course, neither does George W. Bush, Darkness Incarnate, or the rest of the neo-cons and even most plain-ole conservatives and pure capitalists.

More precisely, they would rather see you die of something preventable or avoidable than give one penny of their vast fortunes or adjust their ignorant ideology one iota to help you to live.

By you, I mean anyone who cannot pay the price or lacks the power to resist their repression.

The following is the basic philosophy of George W. Bush, John McCain, Cindy McCain, Newt Gingrich and all the rest. Actually, this is the basic philosophy behind all of capitalism:

Pay the price or die.

Or more refined, pay the price or go without. And if going without causes you or your babies to suffer or die, well, that's not ownership's problem, now, is it?

It really is that simple. Have a curable, but potentially fatal illness and can't afford the surgery or medication that would cure you? Too bad. Should've saved more; stayed in school (even if you did). Hope your immune system is up to speed. Not giving you a penny. Don't care if you die.

Just one example of so many, of course. Insert food, heat, education, veterans's care and on and on.

You see, John McCain's health care "policy" is to get rid of it for anyone who cannot pay the full price insurance companies want to charge each person separately. Seriously. His plan is to move the country away from employer based health coverage, but not towards a societal solution.

No, he wants an individual "solution". He wants to offer instead tax deductible health savings accounts for people to use to buy their own health care coverage or buy their health care directly. Up to $15,000 per year! Wow. How generous!

To the rich.

How many Americans have $1000.00 extra dollars, much less $15,000 at the end of the year to save? Once your employer drops your health plan, do you have any idea how much it will cost you on the open market? Mine, a good, but by no means "gold plated" plan, would cost my wife and I over $1000.00 per month! Right now, we pay a little over $100.00. So we get $100 back for the opportunity to pay $1000, which we ain't got, even if it were tax deductible.

Or we go without, and if we get sick and cannot afford care, and come a-knockin' on one of John McCain's many palatial doors? You know what he will say, but it bears repeating.

Not my problem. Not givin' you a penny. Don't care if you die.
