Opponents of Judicial Activism (GOP) Now go full bore with Judical Activism

Carter Calhoun

The GOP has decried Judicial Activism for years. Yet their minions like Justice Roberts gives their beloved Corporations' personhood as if they have a heart or care for anything other than shareholder profits.

Now the crybaby GOP'ers are threatening taking the Health Care Bill to the courts and showing their full bore support for...guess what...Judicial Activism. Of course it's not surprising considering they lie and deceive on just about every issue (remember the WMD's).

The funny thing is that they will claim that forcing people (untrue) to buy insurance is an invasion, yet everyone HAS TO HAVE CAR INSURANCE. It's the same thing, laws are passed to protect the public good and health.

The Health Care Bill protects our economy and us from the crazy out of control costs that burden the system when uninsured folks go for health care at the emergency room. It increases preventitive care funding by providing funds for community health care clinics. Keeping folks healthy before they get really sick is good for people and good economic sense. Expanding the pool of insured people will lower the insurance cost for all. (The fine for not having coverage will be $95 in 2014 and in 2016 rise to 2% of your income, still a deal) . In addition Insurance Companies will have to keep premiums reasonable and behave or they won't be included in the Insurance Exchanges and receive the government subsidies. It's not a perfect bill but it is a good start, and in an effort in true bipartisanship includes over 200 republican amendments.

It is time for all good men and women to stand up and be ready to sacrifice for the earth and children! It ain't going to be easy destroying the old and birthing the new. A world of community, creativity, fun, and local food production is just (more...)
