Shin-Bet, or Shabak, is the Israeli domestic "General Security Service", operating inside Israel and in particular controlling life in Palestine ("Mossad" is the counterpart, charged with international operations).  The evidence shows that the Shin-Bet has acquired undue powers over recent decades, above the law, like the Deep State apparatus in the United States.
