If you see a fancy graphic on your Book of Feces page that you think you agree with, that's probably from the same troll-farm that sent you the one you're about to see that makes you shake your head in disgust, and maybe report it as "sexually inappropriate." Because the system doesn't work on your agreement: it works by getting your attention. It's game is "Made You Look," not "Believe it or Not." It doesn't matter if you are for or against a thing, as long as it gets your attention.
Except now all they are is a nuisance. A third of the "ad-spend" -- a hundred billion dollars!? -- down the tubes! We could have decided to ignore all that crap on purpose, a long time ago. Now that we know how powerful our mere passive attention is, maybe there are some things we've been neglecting.
