This Capricorn New Moon is joined by Mercury, Vesta, Pluto and Venus in Capricorn and is sextiled (60*) by Neptune in Pisces. This sextile from Neptune feeds our imagination, triggering self-expression and a curiosity about the future that we need to enliven. What can we make of the future? Anything is possible. What story does your soul sing?

Mercury carries the message of the New Moon--be a leader--to Vesta, the kundalini energy of life. Enliven your new story--sit around Vesta's fire and tell stories! Then the energy passes through Pluto, who releases what is dead in us so that when the energy gets to Venus, she can create something new with it.

Less than hour before this New Moon, Uranus stations and goes direct. Uranus has been retrograde since July 21, acting on our inner nature, freeing us from old psychological complexes and habits. Now as it goes direct, expect things to suddenly move forward. The energy can be intense so stay grounded, and expect the unexpected! It's up to you whether it's a breakthrough or a breakdown.

The Sabian symbol for Uranus at 13* Aries is: An unexploded bomb reveals an unsuccessful social protest. The revolution can't be violent. That's patriarchy's answer to things. We have to bring in something new, something holy, something that brings life rather than death. This is a great time to take your ART out into the world. Change things through creative action rather than violent action. And whatever those breakthroughs and breakdowns, be creative with your response!

Mars in Aquarius opposes Jupiter retrograde in Leo, so be creative and act for the good of all. We need to take the long view now--it will be decades before we resolve our collective issues, but resolve them we will. We just have to start. Now!

On December 23rd, Saturn leaves Scorpio (Yay!) and heads into Sagittarius, where it remains (except for a few months next year when it retrogrades back into Scorpio) until December 19, 2017. In ancient Greece, Saturn was the god Chronos, TIME--the boundaries of space and time that shape our lives. Whatever sign Saturn occupies is tested by this Guardian at the Gate. He is the Master Teacher here on Earth, and he's been teaching us Scorpio's lessons for the past 2 years. I hope you've healed old emotional wounds, faced your relationship fears and let go of the ideas and feelings that disempower you. Make sure you flush out any lingering negative scorpionic emotions. With Saturn in Sagittarius, we will be tested on our faith in life and our understanding of the cosmic laws of the universe. We will be asked to stand up for our Truth and clarify our beliefs, our values and our hopes for the future. A new adventure awaits us all!

May the blessings and gifts of the season open your hearts to love!

Walk in the Light,

Cathy

It is Not Enough
by David Whyte

It is not enough to know.
It is not enough to follow
the inward road conversing in secret.

It is not enough to see straight ahead,
to gaze at the unborn
thinking the silence belongs to you.

It is not enough to hear
even the tiniest edge of rain.

You must go to the place
where everything waits,
there, when you finally rest,
even one word will do,
one word or the palm of your hand
turning outward
in the gesture of gift.

And now we are truly afraid
to find the great silence
asking so little.

One word, one
