It matters not whether I be called Charles (in some dictionaries meaning "the fullness of manhood"), or Calogero (from my half Sicilian roots (literally "holy Charles"), or Carlos, or Vincenzu (as my namesake grandfather was christened, although he chose to use Charles, having immigrated to New Orleans and growing to like the sound of the name).
Call me what yu wish.
But call me never intolerant and thoughtless!
Reserve those terms for those who willfully choose to ignore all brothers and siters in humanity.
This, my friends, is not a political editorial, but a humanitarian encyclical for all mankind!
I need not be a Pope to write it - only a thinking and empathetic and impassioned literate being to offer it.
Please, accept it.
