Whither Birtherism? Only time will tell. But as with any fringe movement, we should be mindful that the actors are only half of the story. Orly Taitz will eventually sink out of our view à ‚¬" with a bang or a whimper à ‚¬" and be replaced by other, ascending stars that will flare brightly, but briefly, leaving a transitory impression on our eyes.
It might do us good to remember this, and pay more attention to more important aspects of Obama's Presidency. But, much like a certain OU student who couldn't stop looking for the blood in a supposedly-juicy story, some of us are going to keep after the weirdoes until their reason for weirdness is a moot point.
