JB: You're made of stern stuff, Bob. And how lucky we are that you are! Also, it's not like our current president has been friendly to either whistleblowers or probing journalists. I'm sad to say that Obama has made W look good, or at least better, in that department. Anything you'd like to add before we wrap this up?

BK: Your comment about Obama goes back to the idea that Trump, in all his egotistical blustering and political incorrectness, represents opportunity to begin making systemic changes at a deep level. Obama represents the hidden interests of the military-industrial status quo and so does Trump, but in a way that can't be quietly shrugged off. I'll end by quoting Deepak Chopra: "All great change is preceded by chaos." It's scary, but opportunity is always scary.

JB: Thanks, Bob. Always a pleasure. We never seem to run out of things to talk about, do we?

Illuminating: Watch Amy Goodman interview Jill Stein about the recount, her motivation and more on Democracy Now.
