However, ignorant zeal makes peace impossible.

The religious causes of Khamenei's hatred were enhanced by his familial zeal and exposure to the "Muslim Brotherhood." This fundamentalist organization, which is dedicated to the destruction of colonialism, imperialism and Zionism, took a foothold in Iran during the Second World War. Its spokesman was a low-level clergy named Nawab Safavi (aka Navvab Safavi.)

Nawab was responsible for advocating terrorism. He assassinated several high-level politicians in Iran and he was executed in 1956. While he was jailed, recordings of interviews with him revealed his pedophilia.

As an adolescent, Khamenei met Nawab and became his follower. Many Iranian politicians of the current Islamic Republic statesman were impressed by Nawab's theories and followed his footsteps. That is the original cause of the Iranian government's terrorist activities inside Iran and abroad. It is also the genesis of Iran's preoccupation with the extermination of Israel. Khamenei even notes in his autobiography that he "entered into the world of politics under the influence of Nawab Safavi."

Given this information, we can see that this eighty-five-year-old despot will never give up, even as he approaches the end of his life. Like other control freaks, Khamenei will ensure that his son becomes the next leader, continuing his dark delusions of the extermination of Israel, the unmitigated dictatorship of the country, and the relentless expansion of the Shiite sect of Islam for eternity.
