As the rate is already at 2900 dead by September 20, 2014, these columns indicate that Ebola is doubling at a shorter period than one month or that the first death from this outbreak occurred earlier than December 2013.
The director general of the World Health Organization endorsed the transfusion of whole blood from Ebola survivors on September 2014.
Dr. Kent Brantly gave himself blood from a 14 year old African boy survivor from Ebola, while in Africa, a practice copied from the earlier doctor treating Ebola, who gave themselves whole blood in the Congo in the mid 1970's from survivors of those first recorded outbreaks.
Dr Rick Sacra, another US Ebola survivor from Liberia, got blood from Dr Kent Brantly, between September 4 and September 9, 2014, using Brantly's antibodies to help fight Ebola.
In any case the world health organization says the death rate is now believed to be 70% of those that get it, accept for those lucky enough to get antibodies from a survivor by blood transfusion.
Your friend who survives Ebola is your best friend. Get some of his/her blood and antibodies in order to build your immune system to survive.
