The "Bat vs Man" Cold Case

In law enforcement and criminal justice parlance a cold case is a crime unsolved. What I call the "Bat vs Man Cold Case" is indubitably the most internationally notorious and deadly cold case history has ever recorded. The Covid 19 pandemic is still killing millions of people and hospitalizing millions of others. I was one of the hospitalized and until death will be taking expensive medications, so I have a very personal interest in (read vendetta against) this particular cold case.

Every cold case generates suspects, in this case two, bat and man. FBI Director Christopher Wray's comment that the bureau believes Covid-19 "most likely" originated in a "Chinese government-controlled lab" is the first public confirmation of the FBI's judgement of how the pandemic virus emerged; in response, not surprisingly, Beijing accused Washington of "political manipulation;" not stopping with that accusation, the Chinese foreign ministry suggested that Covid-19 was "made and leaked from Fort Detrick" located near Frederick, MD; once the centre of the US biological weapons programme, Fort Detrick [that] currently houses biomedical labs researching viruses including Ebola and smallpox." [1]

Dr. Cyril Broderick, a Liberian scientist and a former professor of Plant Pathology at the University of Liberia's College of Agriculture and Forestry, claims that the US Department of Defense had been funding Ebola trials on humans in Guinea and Sierra Leone just weeks before the Ebola outbreaks there that killed hundreds of people. [2]

Does all the foregoing suggest to you that the Covid 19 pandemic was a diabolical scheme by the Chinese government, perhaps in cahoots with the US "warfare state" to develop and use biological warfare perhaps on Iran or Russia? If it does, your thinking may have proceeded to some extent along the outline of my "true cause scale;" namely, this:

1. Intuition. Aka "gut feelings."

2. Circumstantial evidence. A causes B because B is always associated with the true existence of A.

3. Eyeball evidence. If I saw what caused A, I know what caused A.

4. Hypotheses and scientific theory. Rigorous and replicable production and testing of data in attempts to discover probable causes. Relatively applicable.

5. Causal inference. A complex and sophistical statistical analysis of data to tease out probable causes. Rarely applicable. Demonstrates Mark Twain's adage.

6. Empirical, scientific evidence. Produced from the findings of testing hypotheses and causal inferences. Rarely applicable.

7. Website reports from professional investigative reporters and other reliable sources.

I followed my own scale and concluded from "item 7" that the Covid 19 pandemic was NOT the consequence of a diabolical scheme perpetrated by the Chinese and US governments to develop and use a bioweapon against Russia and/or Iran. So, what did my "Item 7" search tell me?

This Cold Case Has Melted!

What really happened? The president of the Chinese government was very intent on China being known worldwide as a leader in bioengineering technology. His determination, and vanity if you will, coupled with his top leadership post, not some conspiratorial, evil plan by to wrest world military power from the US and replace with Chinese worldwide military power, put tremendous pressure to the lab personnel to meet the President's goal

Conclusion

Vanity, not some evil militaristic ambition, led to "haste make waste." Regrettably, the waste is in the form of millions of lives lost and injured. Unfortunately, don't expect the UN's feckless International Criminal Court or any other tribunal to seek legal reparations.
