Many of us can remember the show in the 1960-70's called "Let's Make A Deal" that was hosted by Monte Hall and today by Wayne Brady.
The premise of the show is to give the audience a chance to play and win prizes. As the show caught on, people started dressing up so they would catch the hosts eye and be picked to participate. Once picked, the participants are shown a prize / money that they could keep or trade it in for what was behind a curtain. The excitement is tense...for the prize could be great or simply a dud.
In the upcoming weeks, our politicians will be debating and voting on the Iran Deal. Like the "Let's Make A Deal" show, the participants (politicians) need to make a choice. However, unlike the "Let's Make A Deal" show, both options are visible to our politicians and to our community.
Door #1: Go down the previous path which may lead to another war, more deaths, religious bias, unstable Middle East region and increase in US debt.
Door #2: Go down a peaceful path that will provide verification's, reduce the stockpile of uranium, increase oil shipments at a lower cost, plan to get Iran onto sustainable energy and less dependent on oil, increase Iran's involvement in international trade and banking, an overall plan to get Iran involved in the international community through partnership and knowledge sharing. A seat at the international table without prejudice.
The definition of insane is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.
Do you want to take the same approach (Door #1) or work towards a peaceful solution to integrate Iran into the Global Community (Door #2)?
Note: Some politicians may chose Door #1. They need to determine if it is because of religious bias, cultural differences, greed, control, or some other reason. You need to understand their reasons and determine if you want to vote for them again based upon their decision.
As John Kerry stated, "To those who are thinking about opposing the deal because of what might happen in 15 years...Remember, that if we don't pass the deal, year 15 starts tomorrow."
