Mike Connell was a "bad guy" in the political wars of the last eight plus years. He was a strong-willed soldier for the dark side of the GOP. He had tricks and he played them. You should understand "tricks" to be illegal activities that can be covered up reasonably well so they have the appearance of being merely "dirty tricks." Mike Connell died, probably because he was central to many "dirty tricks."
The corporate media have not really caught on to the Mike Connell story. They may try to ditch the story out of fear of what it might entail or out of fear that it will turn into nothing. All we have so far are stories like this one at e pluribus media or this one at Raw Story by Larisa Alexandrovna (one of the first on the "scene"). We have information like this at SourceWatch and, in fact, a Google search of "Mike Connell" will produce a lot of anecdotal information all leading in the direction of Paul Wellstone (murder by airplane), but with little hard evidence.
I would love to be the first to accuse Karl Rove of murder. Rove is possibly the most despicable person on the planet at this point, exceeding the President of North Korea, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad of Iran, and Dick Cheney by a couple furlongs. But, I don't have the evidence. All I have is the hope that law enforcement is not so corrupt that it will muff this case before the next GOP/Rove operative or Cheney/Addington client goes down under the bus.
This is, in effect, a plea to those remaining "consultants" and "operatives" to come forth and speak. Noon on January 21st would be a good time. Your chances of survival diminish radically as the big guys realize how exposed you make them. The residual group of high criminals will ferret you out and silence you one and all. They kill whomever they wish without compunction or remorse. This is your time, all you Mike Connells of the world. Take advantage of it or join him under the bus.
