militias.
First of all since militias are supposed to be well regulated what state laws apply to regulating said militias?
Second since the states are charged with appointing the officers of said militias, what state official has appointed the leadership of the various militias?
Third if they serve the primary purpose of providing security for the state, when was the last time any state called them up t do so.
Also when was the last time the Federal government armed them or provided standards for training them or called them up as per the Constitution? See excerpt below.
To provide for calling forth the Militia to execute the Laws of the Union, suppress Insurrections and repel Invasions;
To provide for organizing, arming, and disciplining, the Militia, and for governing such Part of them as may be employed in the Service of the United States, reserving to the States respectively, the Appointment of the Officers, and the Authority of training the Militia according to the discipline prescribed by Congress;
If they meet none of the qualifications listed above, are they in truth militias or just self serving clubs with no legal or social standing?
