It is rather obvious that the Senate's Lauren Boebert - coach Tommy Tuberville - has achieved little while in office besides grinding military promotions to a halt so he can promote a national ban on abortions. So much for patriotism and concern for national defense in a time of war. This has increasingly hamstrung policy-making, and changes of command among other bureaucratic annoyances within the military.
Right now, and for days to come, the US Congress is deadlocked and cannot pass a single law without a Speaker of the House. Consequently, the Senate really has little if anything to do.
So, instead of whining about the hours it would waste to approve promotions one-at-a-time, why don't our senators demonstrate their boasts of patriotism and concern for national defense, get off their privileged duffs, and get on with voting each promotion currently sitting in limbo?
