As we know there has been a 30-day cease fire agreement between President Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin since their phone call on March 18th whereby there be no attacks on energy facilities in Ukraine by Russia and the Ukrainian Zelensky regime-which the latter also agreed to abide by the truce.
However, the reality is Ukraine has violated the agreement on multiple occasions with drone and artillery strikes on Russian energy infrastructure almost immediately after the agreement was reached.
The Russian envoy to the UN, Dmitry Polyansky, said on Thursday April 3rd "that Moscow has provided Washington with extensive proof of Kiev's repeated moratorium breaches. The Americans have the facts in their hands and they have the technical possibility to see what is really happening". [1]
Going further Polyansky said "Moscow is observing the truce and Washington understands that it is the Kiev regime which is not forthcoming".
The question here is this:
Why has Trump not told Zelensky to immediately stop these attacks on Russian energy facilities?
In light of these violations committed by the Kiev regime, on Friday April 4 we get this incongruous statement from US Secretary of State Marco Rubio saying "the Ukrainian side has shown a willingness to enter, for example, into a complete cease fire to create space for negotiation". [2]
Rubio went further saying if Russia isn't ready for peace "we'll have to re-evaluate where we stand and what we do moving forward about it".
Trump himself has made no comments of Ukraine's repeated violations of the truce agreement while Rubio congratulates the Ukrainians instead of criticizing them for their violations.
Which to say in the least what is going on here?
