As in past years, restaurants, retailers and other businesses are offering free deals to vets on Veteran's Day, Nov 11, 2014.
In most cases, vets must present proof of military service such as valid military ID or honorable discharge card, or be in uniform. Some offers are for the veteran only, and others include family.
Free meals (some offer lunch only, some offer dinner only, some offer both) are being offered by Applebees, California Pizza Kitchen, Chili's, Denny's, Friendley's, Hooter's, IKEA (yep, they are offering meals), IHOP, Olive Garden, Ryan's, Sheetz, Shoney's, Sizzler, Smokey Bones, Texas Roadhouse and TGIFriday's.
