Oklahoma City: State Capitol in More Ways Than One--A Growing Reputation as Homo-Hatred Capitol? With the fame of GOP Rep. Sally Kern spreading far and wide, as well as GOP Rep Mike Reynolds's attempt to reinstate DADT in the Oklahoma National Guard and his attempt at removing work place protection for minorities, has the capitol city of Oklahoma become the new hotspot for homo-hatred, the latest proving ground for biblical imprimaturs? Who am I talking about? Scott Lively--who certainly lives up to his name.

Guilty As Charged -- my Personal J'accuse! Dharun Ravi is the first person I know of who's been charged in connection with any of the numerous gay teenage suicides in the last two to three years. Why was Ravi selected to be the scapegoat of an entire nation? In the courtroom with him should have been legions of un-indicted co-conspirators from all the ranks of America's thriving hate industry.

When Jesus Plays the Bagpipes This is our Plessy v. Ferguson interregnum where SCOTUS ruled in 1896 that separate WAS equal. No European or Latin American country that recognizes same-gender marriage has put the question to a vote of the people.

Gay/Lesbian Opponent Announces Run for Oklahoma Senate In his public sermon, Blair recounted a meeting he went to earlier this year where his friend Tony Perkins, of the Family Research Council--who he has known for seven years, the last two being described as a "close friendship'--was "discouraged" by the inability to attract a sufficient number of godly men to run for public office and return America to its Christian founding.

Oklahoma's Bigot-in-Chief has Learned Nothing in 10 years She cries the crocodile tears to drum up sympathy and campaign dollars. Intentionally making herself a celebrity, she disingenuously feigns amazement that anyone would call her out for the lies she tells, further adding to her self-proclaimed victim-hood.

Wolf-in-sheep's-clothing Santorum Respects "Gay Decision" GOPer presidential candidate Santorum claims to have gay friends with whom he disagrees "vehemently" and I claim to attend services at the Westboro Baptist Church.

"Conservative" Okie Legislators Plow the Furrows for Federal Farm Subsidy Let's look at two of the GOPers who have cried the loudest about the uselessness and waste of government spending, Rep. Leslie Osborn, Tuttle; and Oklahoma Gov. Mary Fallin-Christensen, but who have received large amounts of Federal assistance , i.e. tax-payer dollars.

Obama has Confused Scientific Evolution with Political Evolution Who knew Obama talked directly to "God"? That Oval Office must have one hell of a communications system because George Bu$h talked directly to "God" as well.

Catholic Church Expanding Beyond Roe v. Wade Thinking they have abortion under control, the Conference is now ramping up the heat on assisted suicide, aka, euthanasia, hoping to detour legislative progress in the 47 states currently without without euthanasia laws and to remove privacy of death from the CIVIL law books of the three states that do acknowledge this right.

Grassroots Get "Fertilized" on in North Carolina by Their Own How much longer gay/lesbian people in any state are going to wait to defend their inherent citizenship from the encroachment, from the naked appropriation being forced on them by the religious right-wing, by the homo-haters, by the flat-earthers, even people ostensibly our friends, who deny the humanity of people who have done no harm to anyone, who are only demanding equal rights.

Uncle Sam, meet Mrs. Jim Crow Mrs. Jim Crow, formally known as Oklahoma GOPer Rep. Sally Kern, first came to infamy as the woman with the truth, the crusading culture warrior for her god, who proclaimed that gay men are worse than terrorists, who like cancer, need to be removed. Now she's going after women and African-Americans.

Closing Obama's Pandora's Box Obama speaks of the "traditional" image of marriage as being between one man and one woman, but that "tradition" also meant the couple were of the same skin color, unlike his own parents. Wasn't the traditional image of an American president that of a white man? Wasn't the traditional image of the Speaker of the House that of a white man? Wasn't the image of a state governor that of a white man?

Gays & Lesbians Can be Killers, Too The removal of DADT is an improvement for those wishing to live in the military occupation, but I do not feel proud for myself.

DADT: With all Deliberate Speed Homo-acceptance is so worrisome to the flat-earthers--when prejudice meets reality, they lose their footing and slide on the suddenly made-round earth.

Forced Off the Edge of Life's Road Though I am a believer in the right of self-deliverance in the face of inescapable terminal illness, I'm nearly speechless and wordless in the face of the suicides caused by the vehement, venomous vocabulary of religious, flat-earth thinking spewed in public meetings and the media.

Another Misdirection of Liberal Energy The American fundie movement works, lives, and breathes for division and they are usually successful. Leftie religionists tell us to read the Koran and see for ourselves what a peaceful religion it is.

Handicapping the Prop 8 Appeal: A Photo Finish Horse Race Just as racists are at perfect liberty to retain their moral disapproval of inter-racial marriage, just as die-hard religious fundamentalists can retain their belief in a particular denomination, The only thing that will change with the full recognition of gay/lesbian citizenship will be the diminution of diversity-deprived, sexually immature adults to impose their private thoughts and neuroses on the rest of the country.

Homo-Happy-iens Will Care for Our Own Emotions From the smallest cross-roads-one-stop-light town to the largest state in the American Union, religion has stood in the municipal-legislative door to stop the recognition of gay/lesbian civil rights.

Haskell's Rascals Pay for Willful Ignorance Those willingly choosing delusion over reality don't understand that a civil right such as the First Amendment right of freedom of religion does NOT mean that "the majority rules" when it comes to a civil right guaranteed in the Constitution. This purpose-driven delusion of the far right also comes into play around the issue of marriage equality for adults of the same gender.

A Shell Game of Biblical Proportions Perhaps, just maybe, the homo-hating hetero monopoly that rules on what's right and wrong, permissible and objectionable, has been broken, regardless of how the Supreme Court eventually rules when Perry v. Schwarzenegger makes it to DC.
