I am a conscientious objector to all war. There are many ways to define war; it is not always fought with bullets and bombs. War of all sorts signs itself in an alphabet of poverty, injustice, inequality and hatred. But I believe that until we abolish those wars fought with bombs and bullets we always be rolling Sisyphus' rock, never erasing war's signature. As a conscientious objector I can no more willingly pay for war than I can drink poison or set myself on fire.
