Drug tests have become a common requirement of employment in America. Innocent until proven guilty doesn't apply when you seek employment. The acceptance that you are an honest person and would answer the question, "are you a drug user?" honestly doesn't exist. You are assumed to be dishonest and a liar. This requirement doesn't just apply to potential employees whose sobriety or the lack of could mean endangerment to others such as in the case of an airline pilot. It applies to common labors, dishwashers etc. On the other hand Members of Congress, The Senate, Supreme Court and even the President have no such requirements. Their oath of office, i.e. swearing to defend the constitution etc (in the case of Politicians) is accepted as Gods truth. Their honesty is never questioned. They are elevated to a position far above the common man. Yet there is probably more Coke use and dishonesty on Capital Hill per capita than anywhere else in America, unless Wall Street is included
Most if not all of those in positions of Power on Wall Street and in the Government were groomed and educated at Harvard and Yale etc. They are members of the prime Escalon Families who have controlled the wealth for decades if not centuries beginning in Europe before America existed. These individuals were indoctrinated from birth in the belief that they are superior beings and that the common man is incapable of the intelligent decisions necessary for a sound economy and government. Their thought process and core belief system has little if anything in common with members of the working class' and the poor. Consequently neither group has any true understanding of the other. This being FACT it is highly improbable IF NOT IMPOSSIBLE for the 1% to either care or make decisions that would uplift the 99% whom they consider to be Peons, replaceable gears and cogs in their corporate machinery and Cannon fodder should they have designs on another nations wealth.
I would suggest that the 99% should request, no DEMAND that Drug and LIE DETECTOR tests be required not only before a person is employed on Wall Street or allowed to even RUN for Public office but randomly every several months afterwards. The List of questions asked for the two groups would be similar in the beginning and then alter to fit the situation. Questions like "DO you believe that the voters should control the destiny of our Democracy, our future and our Government?" " Do you believe that whether America goes to War or not should be left up to the American people rather than their representatives in Office?" etc, etc. or for Bankers and Wall Street icons, "Have you been, are you currently, or do you plan on becoming involved in any dishonest dealings, insider trading, falsification of values etc? Do you accept that if you are caught in any dishonest dealings, insider trading, falsification of values etc that you will not only be fired but will serve an appropriate period of time in Prison?"
I am certain that most members of the 99% can come up with questions just as valid as these if not more so.
